We at SparxIT are celebrating Mother’s Day to pay gratitude and appreciation to every mother with our campaigns #BeyondTheMotherhood and #MusingsWithMother.

Since every mother is unique in her own way and has a beautiful relationship with her child, we wanted to capture the distinctive characteristics of that relationship through our campaign. We collaborated with our branding team to base our campaign on various parameters: Inspiration, Support System, Mentor, Parental Challenges, Proud Moments, Advice, Best Friends, Work From Home Routine, Social Media Sharing, Best Memories, etc.

Based on our pointers, we decided to divide campaigns into two parts. First, ‘Beyond The Motherhood’ features our employees expressing how their mother had greatly influenced their life and continues to do so. Second, ‘Musings With Mother,’ where some Sparxians will share their memories with their mother.

For ‘Musings With Mother,’ our idea was to take a trip down the memory lane of this simple yet beautiful relationship between mother and child. We asked Sparxians to remember the loving and emotional memories they have shared with their mother, and indeed, the emotion they portray was an emotional roller coaster.

A mother is an inspiration for her child. Starting from the first person you interact with, she is the first to instill values in your life. She becomes your mentor, and her teachings reflect in your social and emotional setting throughout the life. Despite having a generation gap, she gives the right space and environment for your creativity to grow and accepts your lifestyle.

Regardless of your mistakes, she shows faith and hope in you, which embodies trust and security. When you feel lost and seek validation, her unconditional support guides you to the right path. Thus, she becomes your reliable person to get advice. Whenever you feel isolated or lonely, she becomes your best friend. Her companionship gives a sense of belonging. This is a relation of pure love.

Therefore, taking a broader approach in our ‘Beyond The Motherhood’ campaign, our Sparxians shared how their mother played different roles in their life.

Throughout the campaign, we got immense support from our colleagues. We thoroughly enjoyed the smiling faces of the Sparxians with their mother. This campaign has made us understand that a mother is a true blessing in our life.

Every year, on March 8, the International Women’s Day event honors women who advocate for change in terms of gender equality and funding female-focused philanthropy. Under the new annual theme, we invited our male and female employees to partake in campaign efforts to raise awareness.

First, let’s define the meaning of SparxSuperWomen and what values our campaign holds.

What Does SparxSuperWomen Stand For?

The corporate world can be highly challenging and possess a cut-throat competitive environment. Here, success comes to those who are dedicated and passionate about their career. Fortunately, Sparx IT Solutions have been privileged to work with highly career-oriented women, from high-octane female executives in sales and marketing to compelling project managers.

We are incredibly thankful for our female employee’s systematic approach and hard work. Their commitment towards their work and career aspirations is one of the primary causes of Sparx IT’s triumph along the way.

We celebrate and recognize the contribution of unapologetically strong, competent, and confident women of Sparx IT Solutions and entitle them as SparxSuperWomen.

These women’s success is not limited by someone else’s definition or external standard. Instead, they create their own definition of success by staying true to themselves and impacting other women’s lives for the better.

It’s essential to appreciate such women and raise awareness for facilitating a gender-inclusive workplace.

Celebration of SparxSuperWomen Campaign 2022

Each year we layout our SparxSuperWomen campaign on International Women’s Day (IWD), where all of our female employees share their unique experiences as they progress forward in their field.

This year we roll out our campaign #SparxSuperWomen along with #BreakTheBias, the focal point for this year’s campaign to raise awareness for a world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.

We asked our women professionals to share the stereotypes they face in their daily lives and how they are breaking these biases. Furthermore, we asked them what their definition of women empowerment is. Also, we involved our male employees in the campaign by asking about the significance of women’s day in their life. And, we are proud to say that we received immense support from them.

We came to know how aware women of our organization are and take risks to challenge the conventional social norms that can be an obstacle to their advancement.

Apart from handling projects, working to delivering promising Software solutions to our customers, we explored many ways to execute our tasks in 2020.

We are excited to discuss our journey in the last year with you.

How Did We Start?

We stepped into 2020 celebrating our inclusion in Clutch’s top 1000 companies (declared in Dec 2019). It inspired us to strive more to create futuristic solutions for our customers. In Jan 2021, we came to know about Coronavirus and its severe impacts in some of the world’s regions. It made us think to plan our strategies if we come into a situation where no common citizens would step out of their homes. It came into reality soon after.

The Indian government declared lockdown on Mar 25, 2020. However, we at Sparx had prepared ourselves to cope with the situation ever before the government’s official declaration of the lockdown.

Unprecedented Challenges

If anybody would suggest us to work from home prior to the Coronavirus spread, we would have not agreed with that. But now that we are about to complete more than a year working from home, we can say that it did not fail us. We worked, delivered, and cherished growth.

The biggest credit to this milestone would go to our professionals who gave their best despite the odds and helped us deliver the best to our customers as dedicatedly as we have done for more than 13 years now.

Reshaped Policies

Since we were not physically available in the office, we had to rely on technology for communication. Despite many technological advancements, there could be lapses. We made sure that we had back up for everything running forth and back.

We allowed our 220+ professionals to utilize the flexibility for providing the best of their skills. We proudly say that each of our team members did not let us down.

We initiated the usage of several new technological tools to keep everyone in touch and ensure no communication gaps or unnecessary delay in meeting our business goals and aspirations.

Accolades Achieved in 2020

Coronavirus might have made us rethink our strategies but it could of affect our aspiration to grow and deliver the best to our customers.

• Onboarded 110 new team members.
• Served 183 clients globally.
• Worked on 450 projects successfully.

Extended Hands of Support

We have been an organization that works on values and commitments. When we witnessed several startups or small-scale companies failing to sustain their business goals and professionals being laid off, our leadership decided to extend our support to them.

Startup Care Fund

In this campaign, we allocated $100K to provide free digital marketing services to businesses facing lower revenues, customer retention, or failing to market themselves. Our aim was to help them get more customers when they were facing an issue of existence in the market. We reached out to 50 businesses to help them avail the facility.

Reaching Out to Former Employees

Seeing professionals being laid off because of a lack of funds was disappointing. We outreached our former employees to ensure if they need our help in the hard times. We onboarded some of our former employees who were laid off or facing salary cuts in their workplaces.

Focus on Professionals’ Mental Health

Coronavirus spread took so many lives. There was an economic slowdown. People were losing their jobs. It created a sense of insecurity in everyone’s minds. We keep our professionals away from any of such issues by improving their mental health immunity.

• We provided them free mental health app subscriptions to take online yoga and meditation sessions.
• We launched the “Kaam Se Hatke” (Apart From Work) activity where professionals had activities and healthy conversations with their team members.
• We assured everyone of no layoffs or salary cuts.

Plans for 2021

We aspire to grow further in 2021. Like 2020, we want to evolve more new ways to transform our work processes and engage in maximum business outcomes.

We tend to emphasize more on leveraging modern-age technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Augmented Reality in our processes.

We look forward to new opportunities and breakthroughs in the upcoming times.

What remained constant in our corporate life is the sheer commitment to achieve excellence in every way. Apart from working on modern-day technologies and approaches, we believed in conducting digital experiments for our clients. 

“We Ideate, Innovate and Create”- This motto has fueled our journey of becoming industry veterans from naive IT service providers in 2007. Instead of being proud of our successful delivery of projects to businesses in various industrial domains, we are proud of our integrity and unity.

We know, you are expecting us to explain our feelings on this special day with words like overwhelming, celebratory, or Euphoric but today, none of these words can explain our feelings accurately. 2020 has been a year of self-realization and as a team, we have realized that “We Exist Because You Exist”

While standing in the middle of the year which is full of havocs, we take courage to introspect our complete journey. With 13 years of being an active contributor to the IT industry, Sparx IT Solutions accepts that this is not the result of hard work alone. 

Our ever-growing respect and gratitude for Sparxians, clients, and fellow businesses played a great role in our cheerful and successful survival. This is why we did not leave any stone unturned while supporting our fellow businesses during this pandemic with our Initiatives like Startup Care Fund.

Along with Startups, we stood by Sparxians as well as Ex-Spaxians during this crisis. The way they reached out to us and expressed their gratitude can definitely be explained with words like euphoria.

Indeed, this was the year of realizations for all of us. As an organization, Sparx IT Solutions realized, the employees and clients are the strongest pillars and the most valued treasures.

Apart from being the strength of Sparx IT Solutions, they are our carriers as well as partners. This 2020 realization has motivated us to extend the foundation day celebrations with you all. We want you to be a part of our celebratory times with enthusiasm.

The entire office was spruced up with the tricolor balloons, which was a treat to the eyes. To make this day impactful and cherishable, we Sparxians wore hues of our national flag, and clicked loads of pictures.

The day started off with the drawing competition, where employees showcased their artistic traits. Some painted images of the freedom fighters while some opted to highlight the social issues in their painting. Each and every sketch was spectacular that sparked the feeling of nationalism. The respected jury members locked their verdict by running a glance at the drawings. Their active contribution made this event a huge success.

Soon after the drawing competition, we proceeded our fun-filled activity i.e., dumb charade. There were different teams, which enacted the flicks very well. All the employees enjoyed this game to the fullest. Overall, it was a wonderful team building activity.

Now, the time came where employees unveiled their singing talent (singing competition). The participants sang patriotic songs to show their love and respect towards the nation. We must say that Sparx IT Solutions is bestowed with a brigade of melodious voice. All of them sang phenomenally well.

At the end of the day, the drawing and singing champs were announced. They were rewarded with the beautiful gifts. It was a day worth remembering to. We promise that we will turn up next year with 2X more enthusiasm and frolic activities.

19th July 2019- The Journey Began

We were to complete our crucial assignment, as our journey was to start at 11 PM in night (19th July 2019). After work, some employees preferred to wait in office, while other went to home. Everyone reported on time, and our two buses moved ahead to Shimla.

Overnight Journey

No one opted to sleep, all Sparxians danced, sang songs, and shared jokes till morning. After reaching Solan Valley, we enjoyed tea and coffee. After some relaxation, we resumed our journey to Koti Resort (Mashobra-Naldehra Road, Shimla).

20th July 2019- Reached Koti Resort

After a long yet lovely journey, we reached to Koti Resort, located at one hour drive from Shimla. It was raining (mild), and the entire surrounding was spectacular, full of lush greenery. A great welcome at the resort with chandan tilak. We went to our respective rooms to freshen up. After that, we savored delicious lunch with veg and non-veg varieties. We had rest for around 2 hours after lunch.

DJ Party- Danced to All Genres Beats

Everyone was feeling refreshed after rest, and eagerly waiting for DJ party to start. At sharp 7 PM DJ floor was ready to be rocked. Within half an hour, the entire Sparx team was dancing to the fullest. And, the atmosphere was full of fervor DJ was about to play last song of the eve. After DJ party, we enjoyed delicious dinner in a mild cold weather.

21st July 2019- Adventure at Kufri

Right after breakfast, we left for Kufri, an adventurous spot of Shimla. Here, everyone was free to trek, enjoy greenery or take adventurous rides. Most of the Sparxians opted for adventures rides, while completing rides, they felt slight fear and adventure too. By lunch time, we returned to resort. After having lunch, all were ready to visit Mall Road.

Mall Road- Relished Street Food and Shopping

Known as summer capital from the time of British India, the mall road still has essence of British architecture. The police station, church, and top views are really mesmerizing. We tasted different street foods, did a lot of shopping, bought apples and some went to offer worship to Lord Hanuman. We had dinner after returning from Mall Road, and everyone was eager to join bonfire.

Excited to Join Bonfire

All were waiting for 11:30 PM, when bonfire was about to begin. Songs and dance remained alive overnight and most of the people went to sleep almost in the dawn. It was our last night in Shimla, so we lived each moment.

22nd July 2019- Ready to Return

The bags were packed after breakfast. Now, it was time to click some group and candid clicks. Some clicks were decent while some were with total fun. At 11 AM, we checked out and started our return journey. We stopped at McDonald’s, and enjoyed burger after 3 hours. Then, around 9:30 PM, we enjoyed dinner and returned by 12 AM.

Conclusion

So much fun, evergreen memories, and lasting bonding are the ingredients of our Shimla trip. Sparx IT Solutions completely comprehend the value of work-life balance. This was all about Shimla trip. Enjoyed to the fullest! Kept chanted Hip Hip Hurray..

Mouth-watering breakfast and lunch

After worship, there was a tasty and healthy breakfast with delicious dishes (Poha, Sandwich & coffee). At 3’o clock, we had lunch with mouth-watering dishes. As the day was very special, so the dishes were also special that were prepared for this special day only. There were several dishes (Rice, Butter Naan, Shahi Paneer, Ice Cream, etc.) that were served to all the Sparxians. Each and every employee enjoyed the tasty food.

Cake-cutting

After having tasty lunch, we celebrated the cake-cutting ceremony where every Sparxian was exalted with joy to commemorate this occasion. As soon as the cake was cut by the founding fathers of Sparx, the atmosphere filled with a loud and zestful sound with everyone uttering “Happy birthday Sparx”. Everyone enjoyed the ceremony with zeal and rapture. Our team leads and founders had a bite of cake from each other and some of the precious moments were captured. The cake was served to all the Sparxians.

Eloquent speeches

Our founders gave some inspirational speeches that were very encouraging and energetic. They shared their valuable thoughts and their vision for the company’s future. Each and every word they uttered was inspiring and motivating. After this, we had a round of speeches from all the team leads, who also shared their valuable thoughts and ideas for the company and their team-members.
The whole day of joy and happiness concluded with an appreciation of the hard work and diligence of all employees.

Conclusion

Our MD thanked all the employees and also encouraged new employees for the best work and nurture their skills. We honour resilience, commitment and dedication of all the founding members that they displayed to see their vision of Sparx IT Solutions come to reality. It is astounding that 12 years ago, our leaders had such sharp focus on their goal.
